Job Description

Working in the newly formed Sales Engineering team, sales engineers will be a key part of the successful sale of the Cloud technologies to new clients. Sales Engineers will bring technical knowledge, product training and solution design to the sales process.

Responsibilities

 Work closely with the sales team to win new business

 Running demos both online and in person on client products

 Answering RFI and service detail requests

 Attend site (mainland Europe and potentially globally) to provide onsite assistance during the sales process

 Design technical solutions to customer’s requirements

 Design, build and run product trials for potential customers

 Provide technical training sessions on the products

 Run product Webinars

 Provide technical support for the customer

 Document customer requirements

 Work closely with other departments to remove roadblocks to the sale

Education and Qualifications

Essential:

 "Degree" level intellect

Desirable:

 Salesforce administrator qualification or similar

Experience

Essential:

 Familiarity with CRM, preferably Salesforce

 A history of successfully working with Sales teams and sales opportunities

 Experience supporting the sale of technical products and services

Desirable:

 Experience in a VOIP Service Provider/ Telco environment

 Ability to push projects forwards proactively

 Experience running customer trials

Skills

Essential:

 Excellent communication skills o Ability to explain technical solutions and/or issues to non-technical people is essential

o Detailed understanding of the commercial implications of any technical communication with customers

 Good IT skills and a command of the following systems is vital: o Word

o PowerPoint

o Outlook

 Ability to work unsupervised and take full ownership of the customers they have responsibility for

 Ability to work to strict deadlines according to customer and sales team needs

 Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills

 Good documentation skills o Proficient at note taking for meeting minutes, action lists

o Experience with completing tenders/RFIs

 Good problem solving and solution design skills. Ability to quickly come up with robust technical solutions to customer requests o Ability to effectively design solutions for customer’s requirements using the product set available

Desirable:

 Technical understanding of the following areas would be very beneficial: o Telecoms, VoIP

o LAN Networking

o QoS setup

 Business analysis skills

 Experience working at trade shows

 Experience running training/webinar sessions
