Our well known and very established client is looking to take on an addtional member to their Assembly team, starting asap until December time. This is a full time role, Mon to Fri, standard hours 37.5 hours per week with plenty of overtime available.

JOB PURPOSE

To work as part of a small team, across a range of sub-assembly completing assembly and finishing processes.

MAIN DUTIES

To complete assembly work for the product range, in accordance with issued specifications and work instructions.
In addition to assembly work, flexible working across all sections in the department, such as finishing, assembly, packing, stores, kit & spares preparation and any other areas required.
Some basic computer terminal work.
Complete all relevant documentation and ensure valves comply with marking and tagging requirements.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Need to demonstrate good dexterity skills whilst working flexibly across a range of sub-assembly, assembly work stations, and finishing areas.
Physical stamina is important given the activities involve constant manual effort and standing throughout the shift, in addition to lifting weights of 5 - 15 kilos.
The activity also involves the use of pneumatic tools, simple hand tools, assembly aids and a variety of cranes and hoists.
Job holders must be reliable, hardworking and flexible, with a problem-solving approach to work.
A team player, able to maintain a good work relationship with other team members.
Flexible working may be required to suit periods of higher demand.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Good standard of education.
Previous assembly experience in a manufacturing or motor trade / or engineering environment is required.
A background in mechanical engineering and previous fitting experience would be an advantage.
