This role has just come about due to expansion within this large UK wide General Insurance Brokerage

The role will be reporting To Consulting Sales & Strategy Director

Job Purpose

To assist in providing a proactive compliance consultancy service to clients presenting guidance, compliant soultions and approriate remedial action.

Job Accountabilities

Specific key accountabilities required to fulfil the role include:-

Keeping up to date with FCA and Industry sources to assist with maintaining the online compliance manual and providing the firm, and its clients with regular updates

Assisting with responding to compliance queries for clients and colleagues

Assist with reviewing all manner of clients marketing (financial promotions) and communications inlcuding websites, stationery, customer correspondence and Terms of Business

Develop skills in order to provide verbal and written feedback for clients to enable them to maintain and enhance their compliant standards

Maintain and update systems and databases

Recognise when to escalate issues an appropriate consultant or manager

Manage own workfkows to ensure minimum business standards and timescales are maintained

To undertake and contribute to projects as and when required to suppport the needs of the business or to achieve departmental objectives

Provide general administrative support to the compliance team

Assist with the development of policies and procedures

Develop and maintain effective and proactive open working relationships with clients

Provide relevant information and complete reports as requested by your manager to ensure effective delivery of consultancy services

Technical Competencies and Specific qualifications

Good General Insurance Compliance Knowledge

Technical Competency

Must gain and maintain a detailed knowledge of FCA regulation and be able to apply this to the business requirements

Knowledge of the FCA rules and preferably knowledge of the requirements of other Regulators eg Information Commissioner not essential but would be an advantage

Demonstrates an awareness of the immediate and wider implications when applying regulation in practice

Demonstrate a good standard of Maths and English literacy

Intermediate MS Excel, MS Word and Powerpoint skills

Ability to research rules and regulatory requirements

knowledge of the general insurance market is highly preferred and would be an advantage

Willing to work towards minimum core industry and other relevant qualifications e.g. Cert CII
