Our client is a growing international pharmaceutical company with locations across the UK and Europe. They are seeking an experienced IT support technician to join their expanding team in order to meet the demands of the business in maintaining, updating and assisting both colleagues and clients with hardware and software related IT issues.


• Working with clients to determine the exact nature of faults
• Recording problems and their solutions for future reference
• Installing and configuring new equipment and upgrading existing systems.
• Giving basic training to new users or customers in using their PCs
• Setting up new equipment and upgrading existing systems
• Fixing equipment, including printers and scanners
• Monitoring Backups for all sites, change backup drives at regular scheduled times.
• Performing PC and server maintenance occasionally, producing maintenance reports and support documentation.
• Manage and maintain the physical network, use colour-coded cables to differentiate all network types.
• Perform Active Directory operations for administrating user’s rights and permissions.
• Upgrade all existing XP computers to windows 10 in company acquired systems.
• Maintain IT inventory with new asset IDs. Perform IT admin tasks and keep all documentation up-to-date.
• Provide 1st line SharePoint support on office 365 platforms.
• Provide basic SAP support to users.
• Be a part of IT projects and help escalation team if required.

• Microsoft certification
• ITIL v3

Experience (essential)
• IT support experience (ideally Healthcare pharma sector)
• Microsoft technologies
• Windows server, DNS, LAN

Experience (desirable)
• IT projects
• Knowledge and experience of Sharepoint, Azure and SAP (desirable)

Skills & Capabilities
• Ability to multitask
• Willing to work extra hours and weekends if required.

• Excellent communication skills
