Senior Accountant - Regulatory

Our client is a Regulatory body seeking a qualified Accountant with an Audit background to work in The City of London with high profile clients across a range of sectors. Through your work, you will be recognized as being instrumental in helping to maintain high standards and compliance whilst also working in an environment that will enable you to further hone your technical skills.

This Senior Accountant role involves the day-to-day management of investigations into financial discrepancies, fraudulent activity or misconduct, including:

  • Identifying potential cases through your own investigations as well as responding to complaints received.

  • Assessing whether a case should be opened.

  • Requesting information from relevant sources and analysing it to determine the appropriate outcome for a situation.

  • Drafting papers for consideration by senior management where necessary

  • Managing cases and other work to meet required deadlines

  • Following applicable processes and procedures, ensuring that all management information

    systems are kept up to date as well as improving these where necessary

  • Building and maintaining relationships as well as sharing information (where applicable) with

    the relevant internal as well as external (e.g. regulatory / law enforcement bodies) teams.

To apply successfully for this role, you will be a qualified ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) with a background in Audit from a Top 10 Practice. You will have a strong academic and professional record, a good understanding of audit and accounting regulations and a genuine interest in Forensic Accounting and Investigation work.
