We are seeking a highly talented professional to join our winning team to deliver high quality bids, ideally qualified to degree level or equivalent.
Role and Responsibilities

The Bid Writer will be responsible for the preparation and timely submission of our tender submissions to clients. They will also help with the management of the company’s marketing activities, press releases, award submissions, corporate literature, social media and website.

The role will be approximately 70% bid writing and 30% marketing.

Scope

• Produce high quality tender return documentation and submissions
• Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure bids are delivered on time and accurately
• Identify risks associated with tendering opportunities and inform senior management
• To assist in representing the company during contract/tender negotiations
• Completion of pre qualification questionnaire documentation in accordance with client instructions
• Understand contract documentation and complete, translate into operational requirements.
• To plan, prepare and represent the company at meetings and presentations and during tender negotiations
• To co-ordinate all marketing activity for the company
• Maintain and update the company website.
• To be responsible for all marketing collateral
• To produce industry award entries and media write up material
• To be responsible for the production of the company’s quarterly newsletter
• To maintain, coordinate and communicate an awareness of markets and competitors.
• To manage the Company’s social media
Specific Responsibilities including but not limited to
• To assist operational management with contract mobilisation, planning a smooth transition from tender to operational contract
• To support Regional and Contract Managers in preparation of local sales opportunities documentation
• Prepare a monthly report for the board
• To undertake one off specific projects as the need arises, under the direction of the Contracts Director
• To carry out any other duties that are deemed to be appropriate.

Requirements

• Strong language skills and a natural flair for creative writing clear, succinct and captivating technical responses
• Competent user of software packages for document processing and production eg: Microsoft Word and Adobe In-Design or similar to incorporate graphics in to tenders and award submissions
• Good organisational skills
• Able to plan, prioritise workload, work under pressure and meet deadlines on multiple tenders
• Superb communication, interpersonal and motivational skills
• Excellent knowledge of software presentation packages
• Commercial awareness

Salary will be up to £40,000 per annum depending on skills, experience and relevant qualifications
