Peabody has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Development Manager-New Business to join our team in London. Joining us on a full time, 6 month fixed term contract  to cover maternity leave, the  ideal Senior Development Manager-New Business will receive a competitive salary of £55,000-60,000 per annum.

The new group will build on the track record, capabilities and shared values of Peabody and Family Mosaic to create a truly distinctive organisation. Both organisations have a long and successful history of developing in London and by joining together and consolidating resources, we can invest more and build more in London.

The combined organisation will be the number one housing provider in five boroughs and in the top three in a further eight boroughs. With a total of 55,000 homes, we will be one of the biggest London-focused housing associations.

We are looking for an experienced senior development manager to join our New Business team for a 6-month fixed term period to cover maternity leave in the team.

This Senior Development Manager-New Business role will be responsible for securing new business opportunities for the development department during an exciting period of change for the organisation. You will be an experienced development manager with expertise in securing new business with good relationships in the sector and experience of the town planning process. You will be a highly motivated and energetic individual, a good communicator, and have an advanced level of understanding and proficiency in financial appraisals for new build housing schemes and managing risk. You will also be adept at steering projects through the approvals and governance process.

As the Senior Development Manager-New Business, you will be expected to work autonomously and to deputise for the Head of Land and other senior managers as appropriate. You should be a team player and confident in your leadership, decision-making and the advice you can offer other members of the team to bring forward and secure opportunities to develop new and mixed use/tenure developments from initial feasibility and acquisition through to post-planning stage.
