LOCATION: Twickenham, South West London

JOB TITLE: Telesales Executive

SALARY & BENEFITS: £22,000 - £25,000 per annum + commission

WORKING HOURS: 9:00am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday

THE COMPANY: Established in 2003, our client provide up-to-date publications and professional training for professional today’s businesses, health & social care and educational establishments.

THE ROLE: Your role as a Telesales Executive will be to sell our clients’ products by phone adhering to set sales targets. You will also be tasked with developing different telesales strategies and processes to maximise success.

Key Responsibilities of a Telesales Executive to include:-

• To make outbound calls to prospective customers to explain and promote conferences, seminars and digital training.
• To ask questions to understand customer requirements and close sales, going the extra mile to meet targets and facilitate future sales.
• To complete the daily required number of new contacts, calls and follow ups etc. in order to deliver personal sales targets ensuring that all calls, contacts and sales are logged and recorded accurately every day.
• To continually improve and develop selling skills ensuring knowledge of products is kept up to date.
• To develop strategy and sales pitches, test new ideas and refine best practice.
• To maintain and update the customer database.
• To work proactively with marketing to source and organise leads for a smooth workflow.
• To maintain Data Protection requirements.
• To take and process orders accurately, using the correct order forms and checking that all details are correct before passing the orders onto Customer Services.
• To ensure that customer service standards are maintained so that all contacts are dealt with in a polite, professional manner and positive relationships are developed.
• To pass customer feedback to the appropriate department.
• To regularly attend events (mainly in Central London, Manchester & Birmingham) where there will be face-to-face opportunities to sell our clients’ products to delegates.

Please note this list of duties is not exhaustive and you may be required to assist the Head of Marketing and Assistant Managing Director with any reasonable tasks as required.

THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate will have proven experience of telesales and track record of delivering sales targets. Our client is looking for someone who has a professional, confident, yet polite telephone manner who has excellent communication and listening skills. The successful Telesales Executive will be organised, have lots of initiative and will be highly motivated with a positive attitude

Key skills / experience for the role of Telesales Executive based in Twickenham:

• Must live within a commutable distance of Twickenham
• Cool-tempered and able to handle rejection.
• Computer literate including database and CRM experience.
• Ability to learn about products and services to describe/explain them to prospects.
• Excellent time management.
• Able to work quickly and accurately, and think on your feet.
• Able to organise his/her work in an efficient manner and to develop appropriate systems and procedures.
• Leadership potential.
