Our client, a leading Patent and Trade Mark Law firm, has an IP Systems Development team that is dedicated to serving the needs of the organisation to a high level and a vacancy has arisen for an IP Systems Administrator within the team. The main responsibility of the role will involve data management using the Inprotech Practice Management. This includes Inprotech names, case data and providing assistance to the IP System Development team. It would be advantageous for candidates to have some basic Patent or Trade Mark knowledge and worked in the IP industry for a minimum period of 1 to 2 years. Familiarity with Inprotech will be useful but is not a pre-requisite.Candidates must be self-motivated and able to thrive in a very busy, but fun and exciting environment. You must be able to work independently with strong analytical skills, capable of analysing Inprotech issues or improvements and, testing and implementing solutions. Excellent attention to detail is critical for this role along with strong IT skills in Microsoft applications. Reporting to: Systems Development Manager & Head of Formalities and IP Systems.Location: The principal place of business will be the Firm’s London office. The Firm is also located at Cirencester and Galway Ireland. Travel to, and working from, these offices may be required from time to time.Purpose of role: Inprotech is the Practice Management System used by the Firm, and the most critical application for storing all IP case and names data, as well as being configured with global IP rules and workflows for managing IP matters. The role is to support the Development team in administering Inprotech data, workflows, and responding to user queries and issues.Primary responsibilities:To deal with a wide range of Inprotech administration tasks, including, but not limited to:
* Identifying and analysing Inprotech issues or improvements* Names Database Maintenance (New clients, names and global case maintenance)* Assisting the records team in global updates and administrator level updates and corrections to cases* Working closely with other developers in the team to co-ordinate solutions involving template development, Case Filing System (CFS), and other custom applications which integrate with Inprotech* Assisting the Developers within the team with testing Inprotech, template and CFS solutions prior to user testing/implementation* Any other relevant duties as reasonably directed

* Hard working, self-motivated and able to work independently* Strong analytical skills, capable of analysing Inprotech issues or improvements and implementing solutions* Excellent attention to detail* Able to communicate confidently with staff at all levels across the firm
Essential skills/experience:
* Used to working in a fast-paced high pressure environment * Experience working with a Practice Management System, preferably Inprotech* Good IT skills including Word and Excel
Desirable skills/experience
* Two years+ in an IP formalities or similar IP administration role* Knowledge of IP law and formalities* Some knowledge of SQL and familiarity with SQL Server Management Studio* Experience with all MS Applications
