Urgently seeking for a number of degree qualified Systems Software Engineers ideally with Robotic / mechatronic background.

The requirement for contract support has come about due to the rapid growth of the organisation.

As a successful applicant, you would be designated work packages to support groundbreaking projects like JET, MAST, DEMO and ITER as well as other smaller or larger privately owned projects across the organisation.

You would be supporting projects with robotic systems software engineering expertise, producing designs for robotic remote handling systems and working on the design and execution of advanced control research projects.

As a successful applicant you hold a degree in relevant field and have experience with some of the following:

* Specification, design, and implementation of control systems for robotic remote handling systems.
* Specification, design, and implementation of graphical user interface software.
* Specification of control interfaces to remote handling devices.
* Development and implementation of condition monitoring systems
* Design and execution of research projects.
* Procurement of control systems and software modules.

* Proven ability to co-operate and work as a part of a team.
* An excellent working knowledge of English.
* Experience of writing specifications for control systems.
* Experience of designing and implementing robotic systems.
* A strong understanding of software engineering techniques and design principles.
* Experience of specification of mechatronic systems
* Use of UML to design software.
* Programming skills in C and C++

* Experience of Systems Engineering including use of SysML
* Experience of design and practical implementation of Graphical User Interfaces
* Experience of developing real time software using VxWorks, or RT Linux
* Experience of designing control systems for servo-actuator systems
* Knowledge of mathematical modelling and optimisation of servo systems
* An understanding of electromechanical machines
* An understanding of robotic systems including kinematics and dynamics
* Knowledge of regulations relating to safety of machines
* Professional registration
