Computer Support Engineer
Are you a methodical and forward thinking Support Engineer with previous experience of supporting SME’s with 2nd and 3rd line support? If so this could be the role for you.Our client, an award winning IT support business are aimed at managing the whole IT process for small to medium enterprises with a huge focus on customer service. They are currently looking for a Computer Support Engineer to join their continuously expanding team.
* Salary: up to £26k per annum * Location: Liverpool (L24)
This role involves providing 2nd and 3rd line support to a multitude of different clients on a daily basis, dealing with escalated queries and much more complex issues. You will be responsible for anything from troubleshooting, diagnosing complex faults, making changes to servers or working on servers, networks or routers. You will also be responsible for cloning drives, backing up data, installation and configuration of windows packages, upgrading hardware and creation and updating of all documentation on the internal system. To be successful in this position you will have:
* General working usage and technical knowledge of small business & home technologies and providing support to these* Strong communication skills – confidence and a positive mental attitude is key* The ability to really listen and understand customers’ needs and to keep them informed and calm at all times* PC hardware fault-finding, repair and maintenance* · General PC and laptop troubleshooting* · Hardware and software experience together with experience of peripherals and accessories. Particularly in relation to fault diagnosis* · Upgrading hardware, cloning drives, copying and backing-up data* · Installation, configuration and maintenance of Microsoft Windows XP, Vista and 7* Microsoft Office – all current versions* LAN/WAN/Wifi/Internet networking maintenance and fault analysis/resolution* Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and later* Active Directory/GPO* Office 365/POP/SMTP mail
