Senior Project Manager

Are you an experienced Senior Project Manager? My client within financial services is seeking an individual to successfully deliver large and complex change projects, many of them will have a significant IT dimension. The ideal candidate will possess skills that work closely with stakeholders to meet the desired outcomes and benefits while also being IT focused. This is an exciting opportunity for smooth implementation of regulatory change and business enhancements. You will be a team player with that demonstrates evidence of strong leadership and influencing skills, in return this will be rewarded with access to the CIO and plenty of profile exposure.

The role

  • Working alongside stakeholders to identify and effectively manage them while anticipating the points of resistance and developing plans to mitigate or address concerns that may arise.
  • Adhering to project costs and applying proactive/ creative solutions when problems may arise.
  • Working closely with and reporting to a Change Portfolio manager to deliver planning and proactively manage projects, complex work-streams, through the entire project lifecycle from initiation to implementation and closure.
  • Through application of project management standards you will ensure that the appropriate governance and risk management is met.

Essential Requirements

  • Evidence of working within SCRUM/Agile methodologies and the ability to work within a structured project management delivery framework.
  • Familiarity of business analysis techniques, standard testing regimes and the software development lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding in the delivery of projects that contain one or more of the following, infrastructure, especially datacentre, Delivery Channel integration and SAAS and other 'as a service' solutions.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties and exceptional communications skills.
  • Dedication and engagement to help grow teams by sharing knowledge and developing others.
  • Attention to detail along with careful planning and organisational skills.
