As in-house recruiters for a large multinational manufacturing organisation based in West Yorkshire we are looking for a Graduate Production Engineer to join our busy Production Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be a confident individual who is looking for their first step into gaining experience in an engineering department. The focus of the role will be administration with ad-hoc project activities whilst giving a good insight into the broader activities undertaken in the Production Engineering Department. This position will be an ideal opportunity to work within a large engineering team and gain exposure to the broader engineering activities undertaken in a manufacturing environment.

The Graduate Engineer's key responsibilities will be;

•Using Microsoft office to update operator instructions and Engineering Changes to Standard Operating Procedures throughout the manufacturing facility
•Autocad to update factory layouts as well as assist in ongoing projects.
•Continuous improvement activities
•Develop and maintain process documentation in compliance with the Company’s quality management system (i.e. TS16949).
•Liaising with various departments within the manufacturing facility
•General Ad-hoc departmental duties

Required qualifications and experience

•Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering subject.
•Excellent interpersonal skills including communication, presentation and motivation.
•Strong administrative and analytical skills
•Ability to undertake a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
•Ability to prioritise workload and work on own initiative
•Ability to work under pressure and within a busy environment.
•Has the capacity and personal confidence to work alondside a multi disciplined team of people during project implementation
•Good team player and flexible approach to work.
•Knowledge of CAD systems.

Hours of Work
Days
Mon – Thu 8:30am – 5pm Fri 8:30am – 1:30pm
