We are looking for inspirational and enthusiastic Support Workers to join our hard working teams in Brighton & Hove. At our Brighton service, we have 4 properties where you will be supporting both ladies and gentlemen in our supported living service. We also support a number of people throughout our outreach services - in total we support 43 people! Ages range from 19 to 75 - offering a real variety in both personalities and experiences of the people we support, which allows us to clearly focus on our person centred approach.

We are currently offering both part time and full time contracts which entail up to 37.5 hours per week. Flexibility is important as support is delivered throughout the day, with shifts spread across morning, afternoons and evenings. You will be required to work some weekends and some bank holidays.

The people we support in Brighton & Hove see many things as being important to them, be it through supporting them in adult life with a large variety of activities and developing both existing and new skills. You will be supporting people with their daily living tasks with things like finances, shopping for all things and healthy menu planning. You will also support individuals with their hobbies; be it through swimming, hosting parties or baking - who doesn`t enjoy a cheeky slice of cake?

Furthermore, you will also be required to support a number of people through our outreach service throughout Brighton & Hove - ensuring that no two days will be the same with Mencap. In the `Additional Details` tab at the bottom of this advert, you will see a service profile consisting of quotes form the people we support and a couple of support workers - this profile will give you a real insight into what it`s like to work at our service from the people with first-hand experience.

As a support worker, all you`ll need to have is a positive attitude and a desire to improve the lives of those with a learning disability. We will support you through a thorough induction process and with award winning training and progression opportunities throughout your career with us.

Enhanced DBS is required for each successful candidate.
