Day Concierge - East London

Salary: £20,000-£24,000 per annum

Location: London, E3

Hours of Work: Monday- Friday 8am-5pm

Description:

A Concierge is required to work within prestigious development of attractive apartments in East London. This is a 167 unit development across 4 blocks.

This position is primarily customer focused, meet and greet all visitors to reception with a helpful attitude. The Concierge will create a positive first impression and provide superior levels of customer service that meets the residents’ needs and expectations. A background in working at 5* hotels or residential developments is highly desirable as well as the ability to work independently.

You will provide exceptional customer service to the residents on site.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • To perform your duties and provide concierge services, in the prescribed manner, as instructed by the Estate Manager or Property Manager.
  • To inspect, on a daily basis, all internal areas of the private residential buildings and report any defects, security or health and safety concerns to the Estate Manager.
  • To set an example for other staff members by being courteous and helpful to all occupiers in addition to members of the public, other staff, guests, and to contractors employed on the estate.
  • To enter all relevant comments/details in the concierge log.
  • To liaise with the estate security team on all security matters.
  • To receive and keep safe registered mail and deliveries for residents.
  • To ensure deal with all general telephone enquiries and log messages.
  • To ensure the development is a well-managed, safe, clean and secure environment in which to live and work.
  • To enter all relevant comments/details in the development logs.

Health & Safety

  • To ensure that all incidents or accidents are logged accordingly.
  • To adopt and implement the procedures directed by the Managing Agent or their Health and Safety Consultant.
  • To assist with the annual fire and health and safety risk assessments.
  • To ensure CCTV cameras are monitored (where possible) and images saved as necessary.

Concierge Services

  • To supervise any keys which may be held. To ensure that they are correctly logged in and out in accordance with agreed procedures.
  • To receive and keep safe registered mail and deliveries for residents.
  • To manage and facilitation the provision of a dry cleaning service.

Cleaning

  • To undertake cleaning as required. It should be noted that there will be a cleaning contract however top up additional cleaning will be required.
  • To undertake litter picking on a daily basis.

Repairs & Maintenance

  • To change all defective light bulbs where appropriate. Where light bulbs are inaccessible they should be logged and reported to the Estate Manager or Property Manager so that appropriate action may be organised.
  • To ensure the refuse areas are checked on a daily basis and kept clean.
  • To rotate the bins are required.
  • To ensure the bins are presented and returned to their correct location before / after collection by the council.
  • Monitor contractors working within the common areas, ensuring they log in /out and take appropriate action to notify residents and protect the communal areas.

General

  • In general, the post-holder is expected to be flexible and undertake duties as required by Estate Manager / Property Manager or Managing Agent.
  • To report any defect or health and safety concern, no matter what its nature, to your line manager.
  • Whilst on duty you should be of tidy personal appearance and wearing the uniform and identification badge provided.
  • To maintain and reconcile petty cash.
  • To attend training courses as directed by the Managing Agent.
