My client has operated throughout London and the South East of England for over 40 years focusing on the delivery of small to medium sized contracts (between £1-11million) involving the upgrading, renewal, refurbishment and new-build markets. They are particularly experienced in working within ‘live’ environments in a variety of sectors and is proud of their network of ‘repeat’ public and private sector customers. Due to expansion they are currently seeking a Site Manager with particular experience in Residential New Build and Refurbishment.

Purpose of the role

• To manage a designated project on site and achieve the target contributions in accordance with the contract documents and programme; ensuring that the project is delivered safely, on time, to a high standard of quality and with high levels of client/resident satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• To assist the Contracts Manager with pre-start details.
• To report to the Project / Contracts Manager on the progress against the programme.
• Coordination / Leadership of the site team.
• Liaison with the client, consultants, contract administrator, head office etc.
• Preparation / assistance with the site progress reports.
• Responsible for the accurate / timely completion of site based documentation.
• Management of site facilities
• Safe storage and co-ordination of materials.

What they are looking for

• Previous site management experience is essential.
• Be prepared to work within various geographical areas
• Up to date relevant knowledge of building legislation.
• Up to date relevant knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
• Understanding of local government construction (Refurb/New Build) projects.
• Strong IT skills to include MS Project and MS Office (Word & Excel).
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Financial and commercial awareness.
• Effectively manage time in order to meet deadlines.
• Current and Valid UK driving licence.
• Live within a commutable distance from Cricklewood
