Our core client base consists of Accountancy Practices ranging from Big 4, Top 10 & Mid-Tier firms through to independent regional firms and sole traders.

Clark Wood is currently working with leading regional firm accountants in the Norwich area who are seeking an Experienced Payroll Manager to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have strong payroll experience from either practice or a bureau environment with excellent experience of managing a team and multiple payrolls.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and driven individual to take on an opportunity to be a driving force in the growth of an already well established payroll department within a well-respected firm of accountants.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Keep effective working relationships with colleagues and clients alike
Lead and motivate staff
Fully understand RTI legislation and oversee the submission of necessary details to HMRC accurately and in the time frame required
Fully understand Auto Enrolment and oversee the associated administrative tasks
Advise clients and managers on payroll issues as first point of contact for enquiries
Keep up to date with the ever-changing government legislation
Advise on pay and tax laws
Supervise and train the payroll team
Manage computer software and systems
Analyse, report and bill payroll fees
Check and audit payroll to ensure regulations are met
Carry out one-to-one appraisals
