Electrical Maintenance Engineer required

Are you a qualified and competent electrician with a background working within automated manufacturing/production environments as an electrically biased but multi skilled engineer.


Are you an industrial electrician, looking to move in to a full time manufacturing environment as a maintenance engineer?

With manufacturing facilities located across the UK, we now require an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join the team in this multi skilled role.

This is a varied engineering environment, light automated robotics and conveyors, going up to large medium to heavy engineering applications and equipment.

Hourly Rate/Salary range: £11-£14.20 per hour + shift premium = basic salary earnings of £30,525-£40,000 per annum dependent on experience + Overtime = £35,000-£45,000 OTE and upwards.

Shift: 4on 4off 6:30-6:30 4days on 4off, 4 nights on 4off

Shift premium: Days = 20% Nights = 30%

Overtime rates paid at: time and half and double.

Location: Must be commutable to Stoke On Trent

Benefits: pension up to 4% and upwards matched, Holidays at 18 shift days at 11½ hours (207 hours annually, equivalent of 26 x 8 hour days), Xmas shut down, health and safety bonus, free onsite parking, PPE provided, tool allowance.

Background required: Previous experience working in a manufacturing/production or industrial environment. Electrically qualified with knowledge of safety circuits, Invertors, how relays operate, speed control systems etc.

Essential Skills required:

*Apprentice trained

*A strong background within a electrical maintenance role within a manufacturing/industrial environment.

Key responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer:

*To maintain service and repair all automated plant machinery to minimise production down time.

*Provide technical electrical support on all projects, installations and breakdowns


The ideal Electrical Maintenance Engineer will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application:

Time served apprenticeship
17th edition electrically qualified
PLC experience for Fault Finding beneficial
Familiar with AC/DC drives and invertors - beneficial
Previous experience working in a automated manufacturing environment
Educated in a relevant engineering discipline - City and Guilds/NVQ level 3/HNC/HND etc
