This is an exciting career opportunity for a highly motivated and capable graduate level planner/project co-ordinator to work within our client’s established and growing engineering business, as it embarks on a period of further development that will see the launch of several new product lines and strategic growth in key sectors.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the co-ordination and administrative activities involved in internal projects. This will involve either development, product enhancement or customer led projects. Project planning, organisation, procurement, sub-contracting and process mapping are the primary areas in this role.

• To update project plans in line with current statuses.
• To working with various departments to ensure projects are on schedule.
• To update and oversee project stage and gate forms and ensure they are properly used.
• To keep process maps and process tools up to date and relevant.
• Create project status reports weekly for the senior management team.
• To place orders with external suppliers for project related parts where required.
• To improve and strengthen existing processes within the department.
• Instigate project “kick off” meetings for either customer or development projects
• To raise internal sales orders for products required internally.
• To attend internal engineering enquiry meetings – Prepare project documents where required.
• To understand challenges involved in a project and provide potential solutions in overcoming the problem
• To work with the production team to understand where critical project components are through the facility

The successful candidate will be qualified to degree level in either an Engineering or Business discipline (Consideration will be given to graduates, who have some post graduate experience in a similar role).
• It is essential that the successful applicant has experience working in a busy office environment with some exposure to project planning/co-ordination.
• Applicants should be able to demonstrate good IT skills combined with an organised and meticulous approach to working activities.
• Good communications skills and an appreciation of customer relations are essential
