Pay Rate - £12 -14 p/h
Hours of work: Working hours to be confirmed, but potentially from 7.30am - 4.15pm, at times possibly from 6am to 6pm

Position Overview
Our client are currently working upon an exciting project in the Wakefield area producing a number of industrial enclosures. The position is workshop based on days, Monday to Friday.

Applicants will be required to demonstrate experience of working from technical drawings in the development and welding of industrial closures and columns. The position will involve MIG and MAG, active gas welding, down hand welding and an element of carbon welding work.

Applicants will be required to demonstrate a high level of fillet welding, box sections and channels, with panels circa 3.5 metres by 10 metres, plate up to 6mm, producing framework and columns.
The position is initially expected to last circa 6 to 9 months, but there is a possibility this period may be extended upon an on-going basis for the right person.

Applicants must be willing to offer flexibility to working hours in order to deliver the project on time and to the required standards. It is also essential that applicants are prepared to honour the duration of the contract from start to completion.

Key Requirements

* Apprentice trained/City & Guilds/NVQ qualified or equivalent in plating or welding
* MIG and MAG welding experience
* The ability to commit to a mid to long term contract
