The National Governing body for England's biggest female team sport, England Netball has been working hard over the past few years to put, and keep, netball at the forefront of women’s sport.

Not only do at least one million women play netball every week, but, thanks to our partnership with Sky Sports, the game is now one of few women’s team sports to enjoy weekly television coverage. Looking forward, our aim is to provide our members and partners with an even better service and sporting experience in the future. That’s where you come in.

Join us as a Regional Partnership Manager and you could soon be leading both the participation and commercial elements of our Your Game Your Way strategy across a key partnership area.

The roles report to the Head of Programmes and Partnerships and are required in a number of locations across England. You'll be based, primarily, from home, serving a key geographical territory.

Job Summary:

  • Identifying and driving revenue growth through commercial partnerships, sponsorship, local authority funding and the third sector funding.
  • Activate national partnerships more locally ensuring mutual benefit, strong relationships and effective delivery of key outcomes.
  • Proactively identify and establish dynamic new partnerships that extend the reach of the sport and attract new audiences in a financially viable and commercially minded way.
  • Influence service directors and elected members of local authorities to negotiate strong partnerships that benefit netball and a broad range of social agendas.
  • Lead, inspire and empower a network of high performing delivery staff to achieve significant growth in Netball participation and a first-class participant experience.
  • Establish and maintain an expert knowledge of the landscape & population across the partnership area identifying opportunities and ensuring Netball has a professional and respected reputation.
  • Strategically lead both the participation and commercial elements of Your Game Your Way across a partnership area.

Personal Specification:

Skills

  • Commercial acumen with the ability to identify and activate commercial potential
  • Highly developed leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team of staff covering multiple roles
  • Ability to confidently articulate key messages and 'sell’ the sport of netball to stakeholders, partners and others
  • Highly developed influencing skills
  • Knowledge of key political agendas that influence the sporting and social landscape
  • Knowledge of the netball landscape, including structures within the game
  • Knowledge of the leisure sector and sporting landscape at a strategic level
  • Ability to performance manage the achievement of key performance indicators on time and on budget

Education/Qualification

  • Degree in either sports or business field
  • Certificate or recognised qualification in management

Experience

  • Account managing key strategic partnerships with senior members of staff
  • Engaging key senior potential stakeholders to 'sell’ and drive new business and/or partnerships
  • Effective leadership and line management
  • Empowering a strong team that achieves key outcomes
  • Experience of managing a field based team of staff
  • Communicating with a wide range of audiences in a number of scenarios e.g. 'pitching’, customer-facing communications, senior volunteers etc.
  • Managing finances - both income and expenditure
  • Performance management of staff & partnerships, enabling great return on investment
  • Strategic planning
  • Being part of a team working nationally or across multiple geographic regions/territories
