The role of Commercial Finance Analyst:

  • To provide Commercial and Financial analytical support in GM sourcing to help drive GM Sourcing strategy.
  • To be a key member of the sourcing team responsible for supporting the commercial decisions to achieve the best financial returns.
  • To work with the Business units to assess the impact of external factors affecting our buying margin and incorporate those in the financial planning process.
  • To maintain the GM costing product tool (Ready Reckoner) and ensure accuracy and alignment to commercial systems
  • To report on buying margin and the impact of product migration and other global sourcing initiatives.
  • To coordinate the business unit forecasts using supplier Turnover planning tool and prepare relevant sourcing and supplier information for central, global sourcing offices and others including treasury and logistic etc.
  • To be a key point of contact in the areas of Management Information relating to Sourcing and supplier turnover forecasts.
  • Drive strong insight, analysis and management information to support central sourcing and global sourcing offices
  • Regular reviews of the supplier financial performances.
  • Support the planning and forecasting processes and coordinating with central/ BU teams
  • Formulating the GM Sourcing Operating Plans and monthly cost analysis.
  • Support the GM product costing model and ensuring all costings are aligned with SAP and Range Planner.
  • Exploit Data analytics & Spotfire to drive insight to help support decision making in centre and sourcing offices.
  • Assessing external factors (Exchange rates, raw material prices and labour rates) and reporting on their impact on buying margin.
  • Maintaining effective working relationships across the Business Units, Planning, GM Finance, Logistics, International team and global sourcing office teams.
  • Accountable for identifying and progressing areas for personal development.
