Commis/ Junior Chef required for a leisure and sports complex in Southend. Great place to take your career to the next level. Develop, grow and learn about the catering industry.

• Full time 37.5 hours per week permanent role
• Usual hours 7.30-15.00, 11.00-19.00 although these may vary to meet the needs of the business (latest finish 21.00 earliest start 06.30)
• This role will include Weekends
• Chef Whites supplied after 3 months
• Own transport essential due to location
• Further training courses can be provided.

This role you will assisting our 2 chefs in providing a high standard of food preparation and food presentation, Plus a high standard of Food safety/Hygiene. As you progress and build your confidence you will then run the kitchen independently.

Duties include:
• Food preparation and basic cooking.
• Stock rotation/ Checking in deliveries.
• Meeting all Food & Hygiene regulations
• Ensuring a clean & tidy service as well as working areas.
• Ensuring daily/weekly cleaning tasks are completed.

Essential catering experience and at least level NVQ level 2 in Catering or equivalent
