N Brown is undergoing a significant transformation programme to become a leading digital fashion retailer and has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Lead Developer to join our technology team, working within a dedicated digital centre of excellence. This is a unique opportunity to expand your career in a fast-moving online retail business, developing your technical and commercial knowledge through exposure to crucial projects across all business areas.

The Lead Developer will be coordinating and leading the development of Mobile Apps for our major brands. Our Simply Be app was initially launched in October last year and has quickly grown in popularity achieving a 5-star rating in the Apple App Store. We`re now looking to grow our App offering to further brands.

You`ll use your technical skills to develop cutting edge solutions to benefit our colleagues and customers. You`ll use your problem-solving skills to support business facing projects to ensure solutions meet business needs.

What the successful Lead Developer will need to succeed:

- A talented individual with a minimum 2:2 degree in an IT related discipline.
- Experience as a lead developer / technical lead / software architect, managing a team of developers and developing high quality, scalable and efficient iOS apps for the Apple App Store.
- Experience of Swift, Xcode, JSON, unit testing and mobile technologies is essential.
- Experience of Agile Methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- A passion for development, keeping up to date with the latest techniques and innovations.
- Experience of working with Javascript, Web and Cloud technologies is desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as this role will involve regular interaction with teams across the business.
