Reed Education Hammersmith are currently working with a thriving school on an exciting new role in the Wembley area.

Starting from September, 2017, the school are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Head of MFL to join them on a permanent basis.

The Role:

• Reporting to the Assistant Principal, the Head of Department is responsible for developing and leading an exciting curriculum which enables the highest level of pupil progress.
• You will be required to teach French to KS4 and preferably KS5.
• You will be expected to plan, evaluate and assess work in accordance with departmental policy.
• Ensure the highest possible standards of pupil achievement, personal development and well-being.
• Be accountable for pupils’ attainment, progress and outcomes.
• Have a secure knowledge of subject curriculum areas, foster and maintain pupils’ interest in the subject and address misunderstandings.

What you will need:

• Teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, QTLS or NARIC approved).
• A degree in Languages. Good A-Levels, or the equivalent.
• The successful candidate will need to be able to teach French to KS4 and preferably KS5.
• A commitment to the school improvement process.
• Record of high quality teaching and evidence of supporting students.
• Have proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and help leaners achieve and make excellent progress.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills with excellent classroom management skills
• Knowledge of UK curriculum.
