On behalf of our client we are looking to recruit an experienced Machine Setter.
The purpose of the role is to operate vertical coating towers to achieve production and quality targets and maintain the priority of safety and continuous improvement of manufacturing operations in compliance with required formal quality systems.

Overview and responsibilities
• Operation of vertical coating towers.
• Continuous monitoring of quality.
• Set and Adjust machine settings for speed, temperature etc.
• Communication – Working as a member of a small team effective communication is desirable in both written and verbal form, within the team, at shift change overs and interdepartmental.
• Adhering to Specific operating procedures and manufacturing instructions
• Maintain a safe working environment whilst following all relevant procedures, utilise the provided PPE & maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
• Ensure products are manufactured to specification and appropriate corrective action is taken for non-conformities.
• Ensure the correct disposition of waste materials.
• Production feedback – You will be expected to be able to provide this in both written and electronic forms in an accurate and legible format.
• Provide operational cover for absence / holidays across all shift patterns.
• Assists with the training of new team members in product quality requirements so KPI’s are maintained to target levels.

To be considered for this position the successful candidate should have the following skills and experience
• Previous machine setting experience
• Knowledge of Vertical Coating Towers preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• A good level of numeracy and literacy
• Team player approach to work.

Hours of work are 12 hours shifts based on a continental shift pattern over 7 days which average 40.25 hours per week. Starting salary is £18850 rising to £20729 on completing of training,
