Conference & Banqueting Supervisor

Our client is looking for a full-time Conference & Banqueting Supervisor to join their team based outskirts of Scarborough. The Conference & Banqueting Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the Conference & Banqueting Department by meeting Customers' expectations and requirements.

As a Conference & Banqueting Supervisor your main responsibilities will include :

* Ensure all areas within the Department are clean and presentable-set to default lay-ups as per rooms when not in use
* Check that the set-up for each individual function is correct from wedding Ceremony to Reception to Evening to Conference lay-ups
* Liaise with Conference organiser's regarding timings, requirements and equipment
* Liaising with Management, Reception, Kitchen, Restaurant and Housekeeping with reference to Conference/event requirements/changes etc.
* To inform "client" of Health & Safety procedures of Raven Hall - e.g. Fire alarm days and location of exits and assembly point
* Ensure "coffee stations" etc. are correctly set-up and served to time - also ensure they are cleared and reset for use
* Supervise the restaurant at breakfast, lunch dinner as required
* Briefing staff and ensuring an efficient service
* Provide excellent customer service at all times
* Ensure Function Bar is clean, tidy and fully stocked (in season) and ready for use when required
* Under-taking any such duties to complete all tasks to standard set by the Hotel
* To liaise with conference and banqueting manager to discuss upcoming functions
* Check stock in function bar a few days before next function
* Report any problems to C&B Manager so that he can deal with it accordingly
