Working in the Department of Computer Science and Creative Technologies, this post will focus on teaching and supporting students on Games Technology.

The undergraduate Games Technology programme at UWE is well established. Running since 2006, graduates from the programme have gone on to work for a range of local and AAA game developers, including Rockstar North, Frontier Developments, Ubisoft and Naughty Dog. The undergraduate degree holds full TIGA accreditation and our provision is expanding in 2016 to include a new master’s degree in Commercial Games Development designed to take full advantage of our access to cutting-edge Games and VR hardware, as well as our status as PlayStation First academic partners.

The Games Technology team at UWE strives to provide our students with an environment that is as close as possible to the one which they would work as a professional. Our in-house games studio, PlayWest, offers students and staff the opportunity to work across a range of live projects, including their own commercially viable games, as well as exciting applications of Games Technology for real-world application, within academic research, and with high-profile partners such as Rolls-Royce and Bloodhound SSC.
