Sewell Wallis are working with a large company based in Rotherham who are recruiting for a Credit Controller. The role would assist with the administration chasing unpaid invoices and use relationship building skills to establish payment terms and agreements. You and the team of Credit Controllers would report into the Credit Manager in this great, supportive finance team.

The Role:

-Maintain own set of sales ledger accounts.
-Provide accurate cash allocation to customer accounts.
-Chase all overdue payments ensuring all accounts are paid within the agreed terms. -Forward chase customers to ensure correct values are cleared for payment as and when required.
-Reconcile customer accounts to enable overdue debt and query resolution.
-Ensure accuracy of credit notes and report any discrepancies to the relevant departments.
-Dispute any incorrect debit note deductions directly with the Customer in line with Customer procedures and Company policy.
-Keep careful and up to date records through company systems at all times.
-Prepare weekly payment forecasts.
-Chase promotional, pricing and miscellaneous claims with relevant Account Managers ensuring a speedy resolution.
-Raise credit notes that have been signed and authorised.
-Provide general administration support to Credit Control Supervisor.
-Process incoming and outgoing mail.
-Provide support and assistance to department as and when required. (cover peak periods, holidays and sickness etc).

The Candidate:

- Minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of sales ledger procedures.
- Full UK Driving licence.
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification.

Salary: £16,000 - £18,000
Hours: Full time, permanent
