Due to continual growth and expansion, our client seeks a Data Analyst Consultant to join their team, managing the development, production and delivery of numerical data for the financial services industry. This role is suitable for a maths related graduate or a graduate with work experience from the financial services industry or insurance or another professional environment. Alternatively, someone who is looking for a new career path who is numerate.

Full training will be given as this is a specialist role.

Salary: £20,500 to £21,500 including matching pension payments, private medical insurance and an annual discretionary bonus.

• Establish strong and effective relationships with clients within your group
• Work with clients to extract information and resolve any issues
• Collaboratively (internal and with clients) design, specify, build and communicate data comparisons developed from existing data and propose new ideas for other data
• Build an understanding of the market landscape including competitor information, customer / market data, technological developments, regulatory changes and political pressures in order to identify new opportunities for reporting enhancements
• Provide both directly to clients and to support the MD at client group meetings insightful analysis of current trends and unusual performance patterns emerging from the numerical data
• Co-ordinate the implementation to market of relevant new products, groups and enhancements
• At all times act professionally, responsibly and with total regard for data security gained from privileged access and insight into 'market sensitive’ client data

• Mathematics or related numerical degree or equivalent
• Highly numerate and analytical -proven ability to understand data and the complex patterns emerging from its manipulation
• Able to work with large data quantities, statistical functions and macros within MS Excel to an advanced level
• Identification and delivery of best practice and process efficiency
• Strong and enthusiastic team player
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to resonate and influence clients often much more senior than themselves

Working 9am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.
