Area Operations Manager (South) - Construction

You will already be working in a management role in construction, groundworks or land remediation on commercial projects, but looking for a new challenge. Reporting directly to the Senior Regional Manager, and covering the busy region of the South of England, you will have a good handle on project profitability and efficient working, and be able to manage multiple teams when necessary.
Your duties will include:
o Responsibility for all projects allocated as Project Owner (typically in your geographical area, although possibly in other areas too) to include herbicide work and all physical removal work (Xtract™, Resi-Dig-Out™, site supervision etc.). Typical tasks include;
o To liaise with clients to arrange works and attend any pre-start meetings with the corresponding consultant or Senior Regional Manger
o To prepare site paperwork such as permits to dig, RAMS, check sheets, etc.
o To order plant, machinery and haulage for waste as required
o To liaise with and arrange operatives, plant operators and labourers as necessary to ensure projects are properly resourced.
o To supervise all works on site, ensuring the companies’ high standards of work are met.
o To bring Projects to completion, ensuring necessary certificates are obtained.
Ideally you will live within a reasonable commuting distance of the HO in Woking, as you will be based in the office when not on site.
- Good IT skills
- Full driving licence, trailer licence would be an advantage
- 1-2 years in Construction, groundworks, landscaping or related industry preferable
