Reed Sales are recruiting for a Sales Coordinator/Estimator for our client, a manufacturing company based in Suffolk.

This company is part of a major US corporation ad benefits from their financial strength and technical support.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure existing markets are well served and key contacts maintained by dealing with enquiries and producing quotes.
2. Develop new markets and products to generate new and profitable business by dealing with new customer enquiries and producing quotes.
3. Work with the Engineering team to develop new and existing products to improve market acceptance and/or reduce manufacturing costs.
4. Represent the company at trade shows and exhibitions.
5. Network with existing and new clients and partners taking every opportunity to promote the Company within all levels of the client’s management and to forge and develop strong personal relations with the relevant key staff.
6. Develop the company’s estimating and quotation systems to ensure timely and accurate response to customer requirements.
7. A willingness to challenge the accepted norm using engineering know-how and new thinking.

Experience Sought

1. An engineering background and an understanding of metal fabrication and costs would be an advantage but not essential.
2. Experience using estimating tools including spreadsheets.
3. Experience with business to business sales.

2. Adaptable approach, capable of carrying out a range of different roles within a small business
3. Strong relationship building skills.
4. Good influencing skills to help build relationships within the company and the wider customer base.
5. Proactive approach and a questioning mind that will help identify new opportunities for the business.

Rewards
1. Basic salary depending on experience £25k to £30k.
2. Business performance based bonus scheme.
