A marketing leading Healthcare business in Brentwood are seeking a Management Accountant ( ACA/ACCA/CIMA) to join the business for nine months to cover a maternity leave. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant is responsible for ensuring that the co-ordination and generation of the monthly management accounts are produced to a high standard. The Management Accountant will also look after the treasury and cash management of the Group.

Key Management Accountant responsibilities will include:

  • To supervise and when necessary, carry out, all bank reconciliations on a timely basis
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset registers, and ensure accuracy and completeness through liaising with the Accounts payable team
  • To reconcile and journal mid-month payroll accruals
  • To produce loan interest/repayment accruals and reconciliations
  • To check and reconcile the reporting and recording of income, accrued income and deferred income is correct
  • To maintain all Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • To run and reconcile accruals and prepayments
  • To maintain Intercompany reconciliations
  • To finalise month end P&L's and Balance Sheet for all homes
  • Treasury management, including circulating daily cash balances, weekly cashflow forecasts, inter-account transfers
  • To assist the Finance Director/Financial Controller with budgetary preparation
  • Responsible for ensuring that all reporting sent out by the Finance team is accurate and fit for purpose, includes sending out weekly stat reports and reviewing the daily occupancy report and weekly agency report

Your characteristics:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA / CIMA / ACCA) or overseas equivalent
  • Significant experience in a management accountant role in an unstructured environment
  • Experience with understanding commercial finance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working with operational staff with limited financial experience
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Excellent organisation skills and multitasking abilities
