Can you assist colleagues to articulate, identify and manage their risks? Could you conduct a wide range of business assurance reviews and provide assurances relating to their effectiveness? Do you have what it takes to undertake independent testing of internal controls? Do you enjoy a challenge? If the answer is yes, then read on.
This role requires you to carry out risk management activities and business assurance reviews. You will be expected to present your findings, and make recommendations that will improve our internal controls, ensuring compliance and agreeing an action plan with senior managers. You will work with colleagues to identify risks and manage them associated with their operational activity. You will be expected to examine processes, risks, controls, and challenge control weakness, across the business.
The team must increase awareness of risk, compliance and regulations so that they become an integral part of our internal controls for all our services. Where this is achieved, you will monitor the ongoing performance of these services, help them be aware of changes, either in risks or changes in regulations, and advise on how they can evolve their services and working methods.
If you have housing/business experience and can show us you have a genuine interest in developing in the role, then it's worth you applying. Housing experience would help you, especially experience of working on frontline services, and even more so if you have worked across multiple housing specialisms. Excellent written and analytical skills will be needed, as you will produce reports, assessments, and improvement recommendations to colleagues across the organisation, including at senior level.
This post will be based in Camden at our Head Office. The hours for this role are 35 hours per week. We embrace smart working where appropriate.
