Our client is a leading UK meat processor that focuses solely on supplying pre-prepared meat products to the food manufacturing industry.

The Role:

To manage, develop and grow sales into the foodservice and allied sectors.

To manage customer accounts as designated by the Commercial Director accurately and professionally ensuring that financial KPI’s are exceeded.

To deliver the commercial strategy and the required results in line with the agreed budget together with analysis and corrective action plans of any deviation or discrepancies.

To create added value and achieve sustainable competitive advantage by satisfying the demands and needs of customers and actively seeking opportunities for growth whilst ensuring the involvement of the operations and technical functions.

To manage customer accounts relationships including regular visits and account-trading plans that will deliver profitable sustainable growth ensuring that all relevant KPI’s are met including.

- Budget Sales (Value / Volume / GM2)
- Innovation & NPD
- Promotional Activity.

Effective data management, interpretation, communication and presentation including:

- Providing the Commercial Director with all appropriate and accurate budget information.
- Providing regularly forecast sales and seasonal variations to aid the planning and finance teams.
- Preparing customer visit reports and maintain accurate account details.
- Reporting and maintaining market place intelligence and key competitor activity database.

To liaise with customers and finance and assist in resolving and outstanding payment or term issues.

To ensure best practice, confidentiality, integrity and legal compliance is observed.

Skills / Experience Required:

FMCG commercial experience.
Experience of working with foodservice
Prior experience of working within a commercial team
Prior experience of working within meat sector / FMCG business

Strong communication skills with the capability to communicate confidently internally & externally
Good team working skills
Strong negotiation skills base
Able to work within an agreed established framework and cope with pressure, taking responsibility for decisions and owning the account plans.
Strong attention to detail and ability to report accurately.
Has flexibility and can be creative in all aspects of account management.
Results Orientated with the ability to successfully defend against competitor threat.
IT Literate
High levels of professionalism, integrity and ethical awareness.
