Due to company growth, our client is looking to recruit someone to assist with Sales Ledger and Credit Control within their friendly accounts team at their offices in Lutterworth. You will be responsible for chasing outstanding invoices and ensuring that credit given to customers is monitored and controlled effectively.

This is a fixed term contract up to 31 December 2017.

Duties and responsibilities:

* Collection of aged debt from a portfolio of customers via telephone and email and logging of all information
* Ensure customer disputes are resolved quickly and efficiently
* Liaise with internal contacts to resolve customer queries / account issues
* Raising of invoices and aiding with sales ledger when required
* Working as part of a team to achieve group targets and objectives
* Escalation of debt to external debt management organisation where appropriate

Skills and experience required:

* Minimum of 2 years accounting experience which includes sales ledger and credit control
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Ability to work effectively within a team environment
* Understanding of good customer service
* Good negotiation skills
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Sage Line 50

Hours of Work:

* Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm (30 mins lunch)

Salary and benefits:

* Up to £11.00 per hour dependent upon experience
