Role: PR Account Executive

Location: Sheffield

Salary: up to £21K, DOE

The role:
 You are the first point of contact for clients and must be able to articulate and position the importance and value of great PR, best practice and of the business.
 Develop and maintain an understanding of the client requirements, with support from the Directors.
 Oversee the implementation of all PR activity – further to direction from the Directors - including media monitoring; writing, selling-in; event management and evaluation.
 Supporting in the management of the expectations of clients regarding matters such as: likely results, turnaround time, corrections and approvals.
 Preparing regular client reports and attend client meetings.
 Developing project management skills: delivery on time and on brief.
 Developing leadership and managerial skills setting objectives and overseeing work plans as needed.
 Relationship building and networking with colleagues, clients and the media.
 Working with line managers and directors to support new business, client proposals and pitches.
 Manage the PR aspect of a possible crisis situation with support from line managers.
 Develop productive relationships with existing and new clients.
 Support management team on managerial activities as directed.
 Team player

Ensure good working relationships between your own team and colleagues, partners, suppliers and clients.

 Project Management
Working to the direction given by the management team to deliver against the objectives outlined by the client – in line with key performance indicators and service level agreements.
Scheduling projects, agreeing milestones, deadlines and deliverables.
Effective communication with colleagues, clients, suppliers and partners.
 Quality assurance
Ensure all communications, reports, presentations and deliverables are of the highest standard meeting the commercial needs of our clients.
 Business development
Develop strategic relationships with existing and new clients.
Input into strategies and tactics that deliver opportunities to work with new clients. Produce credential documents and written pitch materials with support from the Directors.
 Supporting in the planning and execution of research
Gather insights that are valuable to our clients and a wider understanding of the relevant UK and regional markets.

The successful candidate:

Will ideally have 12 months plus experience in a PR role either agency or client side. You will be proactive, driven and have a high attention to detail. You'll be comfortable working to tight deadlines and building/developing client relationships. We're interested in candidates who have experience in digital marketing that are keen to specialise in PR too.
