Vetro Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Senior Service Manager to work for a leading care provider that supports adults with Autism in the Neath Area. This will be a fantastic opporunity for someone looking to step up to area / operations management. Reporting to the area manager you will oversee the smooth running of 10 services in the Neath area with 7 direct reports.

This new and exciting role leads, motivates and develops the team to deliver in line with statutory requirements and standards whilst taking into account the financial context. This role leads on mentoring, developing and managing team members and is responsible for the smooth running and management of the services.

Salary: £33,500 per annum

Location: Neath

Hours of work: Full time - 37hrs/wk - Mainly Mon-Fri, but flexibility may be required on occasion

The successful candidate will be:

* Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a wide range of people.
* Have strong analytical skills, able to organise and present ideas as well as write clear concise reports.
* Able to self manage, work on own initiative and prioritize effectively.
* Able to deal with people in an effective and sensitive way.
* Ability to evaluate and monitor service delivery.
* Able to lead and support teams in changing environments
* Thorough understanding of relevant statutory and legal requirements affecting the provision of Adult services.
* Extensive knowledge of the range of services available to Adults with Autism in the community.
* Understanding of government policies/initiatives for Adult services
* Thorough understanding of the personalisation agenda and commitment to embedding this in service provision.
* Knowledge of current issues facing Adults with Autism.
* Understanding of and commitment to equal opportunities
* Proven experience of managing services for adults in the community.
* Experience of developing services in a changing environment.
* A track record of success in developing and delivering new care services.
* Experience of leading, managing, motivating and developing staff.
* Experience of managing resources including sound budgeting skills.
* Experience of working collaboratively with other agencies.
* Experience of promoting anti-discriminatory working practices
* Degree or Diploma in a relevant field. (Care, Social Work, Allied Health profession)
* Relevant management / professional qualification (QCF Level 5)
