Electrical Engineer — Water/Wastewater.

We are a highly experienced provider of water and wastewater treatment and pumping solutions and would like to enhance our team with an Electrical Engineer.

You will ideally have worked as an industrial electrician and further developed your knowledge with the addition of a HND/Degree in Electrical Engineering. Preferably you will be Chartered or Incorporated, although this is not essential. Ideally your background will be water industry biased.

The role would potentially suit someone with previous working experience within the Process Industries or oil and gas sectors.

Key skills/capabilities required for this role include
– Electrical Design including:
– Cable Sizing.
– Cable Scheduling.
– Writing Specifications for Control Panels and Electrical Installations.
– Writing Control Philosophies.
– Producing Equipment Data Sheets.
– Control and instrumentation equipment selection.
– Reviewing control panel schematic drawings.
– Production of commissioning documents.
– Project Engineering.
– Site Supervision (occasional).
– You will need to have good written and verbal communication skills and be confident in attending client meetings.

Qualifications/experience
– Water/Wastewater treatment experience.
– Electrical detailed design experience.
– Degree/HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering.
– Chartered or member of a relevant engineering institution (desirable not essential).
– Significant experience in a similar role.
– ECS / JIB / CSCS Card.

Initially this position can be based out of offices in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire or, if preferred, home based. Ultimately permanent offices will be located in Thetford and you will be covering sites within the East Anglian and East Midlands region.

This is an urgent requirement with an immediate start for the right person. It can either be a long-term contracting position or, for the right person, a permanent role will be considered.
