Managing Quantity Surveyor (Cat A & Cat B Fit Out)

My client is an established privately owned main contractor who predominantly work within the Commercial, Retail, Industrial and High Rise Residential sectors. They are truly a specialist in their field and are very much focused on the end product for their High End clients. They work predominantly in the North West and occasionally venture across to Leeds & Sheffield.

They currently enjoy a group turnover of c£150 million and manage projects ranging in value from £500,000 up to £8 million with a select client base secured on a competitive and negotiated basis.

As a result of a recent acquisition of a Senior Operations Manager, my client have been very focused on their work win strategy and subsequently have secured a number of new projects.

They have a real focus of High End fit out and are ideally seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor who has experience within this market.

Managing Quantity Surveyor (Cat A & Cat B Fit Out)

All projects are operationally managed by a site based Senior Project Manager and will have site based Commercial Team working alongside them. Dependant on value and complexity, the Managing Quantity Surveyor may have a team of Quantity Surveyors working alongside him/her on site.

They are currently in the market for an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to take a flagship project in the North West from award through to client handover. You will alongside a site based Senior Project Manager and must have on site experience within their specialist field, Cat A & Cat B Fit Out.

Managing Quantity Surveyor

The site team will report to a visiting Commercial Manager and an Operations Manage.

The ideal candidate will have experience of commercially and contractually managing large value new build projects from contract award through to final account.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Sub Contract Procurement
* Variations
* Interim payments
* Client management (working with PQS)
* Compiling monthly CVR's
* Settling the final account

The ideal candidate will:

* Have strong communication skills
* Be systems orientated
* Have experience of complex Fit Out projects
