Architect move into Main Contractor - West London - £45,000 to £55,000 plus Car or Allowance, Bonus and Package.

A leading main contractor in the UK is looking for an architect to join its team to work as an Assistant Design Manager.

The Client:

They are a diverse Top Ten Contractor that operates in most sectors of the built environment.

They operate a wide range of projects in the private and public sectors including education, healthcare, civic and commercial buildings. Projects will vary in value from £50 - 500m and will be within the surrounding areas.

This market leading client is always exploring new ways for the construction industry to work together on strategic issues such as reducing waste and boosting skills.

The Company will offer you excellent career development and progression, they are ideally looking for someone who his keen to progress to a Design Manager in the next two years.

Current Project:

A £50 million apartment scheme in South East London comprising of a 32-storey tower with a seven-storey podium at its base, containing 269 private and affordable social apartments.

Role of Assistant Design Manager:

* To coordinate all technical information on projects from inception to completion.
* Providing back-up to the Design Manager on the job.
* Providing architectural and engineering support for projects.
* To liaise with internal and external departments to overcome issues.
* To provide working drawings and ancillary detailing.
* To attend and contribute to design meetings.

The ideal candidate:

* Will have a minimum of three years experience gained in Architects practice or with a Contractor/developer.
* Minimum of Two years of Site Experience/Project Based.
* Ideally Degree Educated.
* Will have up to date knowledge of UK building regulations and NHBC standards.
* Be ambitious and keen to progress within an established company.
