Opportunity to work for an expanding site who are part of a large global corporation. They offer an excellent benefits package including a final salary pension scheme as well as secure employment having recently undertaken a large expansion project to double the output of part of their plant. The Electrical Maintenance Technician will report in to a Shift Supervisor and undertake a dual role focused on first line breakdown maintenance and repair while also monitoring the continuous manufacturing process to ensure it performs to its utmost.

The role is based on a shift pattern working 7 on, 2 off incorporating a mix of Days (6am-2pm), Afternoons (2pm-10pm) and Nights (10pm-6am) with a 10 day break every 3 rotations of the pattern.

As the Electrical Maintenance Technician, your duties will include:

* Primary responsibility for safe operation of a plant process via a control room panel
* Providing 1st line response to breakdowns inclusive of basic fault finding, electrical isolation of processes and repairs
* Responsibility for conducting detailed shift handovers
* Application of site safety / environmental / quality processes
* Issuing of work permits for operations within allocated area

To be a successful Electrical Maintenance Technician you will have the following skills and experience:

* Must hold a relevant electrical based qualification gained within a manufacturing environment
* Previous experience within a manufacturing / industrial environment is essential
* The Electrical Maintenance Technician must be comfortable with the dual nature of the role undertaking the operation of process equipment along with maintenance activities

In return, the Electrical Maintenance Technician will receive a salary of £33,500 - £38,500 (dependent on experience) + final salary pension, private medical, group share save scheme and life assurance.

PLEASE NOTE - initially you will start on days for a period of a few months while you undergo training onsite and at this stage the salary would be circa £30K rising to the figures above when moving on to shift.
