Job Title:                           Marketing Campaign Selections Manager
Location:                           Manchester
Salary:                               to £48,000 + bonus & benefits

The Marketing Campaign Selections Manager will have overall responsibility for the processing and production of customer-level data selection files in support of the company’s suite of Marketing and Research campaigns. The Manager will work closely with other internal departments such as Marketing, IT and Compliance to ensure the campaign selections contain accurate customer information and meet all Marketing, Regulatory and Data Protection Act requirements. The Manager will also be responsible for the delivery of reporting, Management Information, Test vs Control analysis or ad-hoc analysis of campaigns as per any agreed requirements.

The Marketing Campaign Selections Manager will: 

- Be required to ascertain and agree or enhance all marketing campaign goals and requirements. Agree timelines for processing and sign-off of campaign selection files. Ensure consideration has been given to key business targets such as response, conversion and customer value.   
- Have a full understanding of marketing consent, suppressions and the Data Protection Act (DPA), and their applications to marketing campaign and research selections. Ensure all appropriate marketing suppressions have been included in each campaign build and that the DPA is adhered to for all work done.
- Be responsible for ensuring work done by others in the Analysis team in respect of campaign selections is done to agreed specifications and timelines. Oversee the quality assurance checks done on final campaign files to ensure they are accurate and fit-for-purpose. Ensure the secure delivery of final data files as requested to end users / mailing houses. Deliver management information, reports and ad-hoc analysis as required in support of marketing or research activity. Have a working knowledge of predictive models / segmentations, and their application to (a) support marketing strategy and (b) identify new opportunities in the areas of customer acquisition, upsell, cross sell and retention.
- Drive the development of the campaign database and associated applications by liaising with IT to identify, specify and deliver required enhancements. Take responsibility for organising and delivering any user acceptance testing as required.
- Be the key point of contact for certain 3rd party data suppliers. Actively engage with 3rd parties to deliver improvements to the campaign process and the data used.
- Develop a strong understanding of the company’s product range, its sales and servicing processes and its practices.
- Develop strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to deliver insightful and actionable reporting and analysis that will result in improvements for the company.
- Remain abreast of industry best practice through external networking and research.

The Marketing Campaign Selections Manager will have:

- Considerable experience of processing marketing campaign selections, preferably using SAS CI Studio or similar.
- Highly competent in data analysis using SAS, SQL or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of statistical modelling.
- Competent in MS Office - particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- The ability to translate analytical thinking into 'easy to understand' commercial concepts.
- Confidence in presenting technical information in a variety of ways to colleagues
- Demonstrable problem solving ability.
- Experience in planning own and others workloads to meet business deadlines.
- Experience of influencing stakeholders to own way of thinking.
- A degree in a numerical discipline

Ideally the Manager will also have:

- Experience within the financial services sector, preferably within Insurance
- Previous experience of web reporting/analytical tools
- Previous experience of BI tools such as Cognos, Tableau, Qlikview or Power BI
- Previous Experience of GIS Software
- SAS Certification
