Ruby on Rails Architect / Developer needed by a tech start up as they continue to grow their product offering. You'll be joining a small but high performing team who are attempting to disrupt the way things are done in a massive industry through the use of technology.

The Role:

You will be joining the company to head up the development of their web platform with a focus on designing and building the back end structure of this industry disrupting application.

Your new company are more interested in the best person for the role than what your postcode is and can offer remote working for the right candidates. That being said, they do like to work together where possible, following real agile principles, so you will need to travel to the HQ in Leeds from time to time.

The Company:

As with most start-ups, there isn't a hierarchical structure in place with this company and the founding Directors are still very much hands on in every element of the business. As a senior developer you will have the chance to influence and drive the technical direction of the various product offerings from day one.

Tech Stack:

To be successful in this role you will be confident in ticking off most of the following:

** Ruby on Rails - you will need expert knowledge and have a demonstrable track record of building / designing complex applications. Any experience of other Ruby frameworks such as Sinatra would be a bonus.

** Agile - the company are keen to follow strict Agile methods with daily stand-ups, two week sprints etc.

** Test Driven Development / TDD / Behaviour Driven Development / BDD

** Previous experience with Cloud technologies - ideally Heroku, however, AWS, Azure or Google Cloud

** DevOps - Docker / Continuous Integration
