Vetro Recruitment are looking for Residential Support Workers to join a leading company in the Lymington area. You will be supporting 3/4 challenging young girls who may have Autism, Social, Emotional Difficulties or complex needs. They also have 2 homes looking for Support Workers in Lymington and New Milton.

Entry level salary is £17,968 = £16,323.00 basic plus an average £1,645.00 sleeping in allowance (£35.00 / approx 1 a week)

Requirements:

* MUST be drivers
* MUST be over 21 years of age
* NVQ Level 3 Children and Young People is ideal, but people without this qualification are also considered with challenging behaviour experience
* Be willing to undertake and complete further training and development, as necessary in order to enhance service delivery
* Experience working in the care sector is ideal
* Be passionate about supporting young people with both Autism and Emotional Behavioural Difficulties
* Must be resilient, good at boundary setting and sticking to your decisions
* Must be able to work a 3 week rolling shift pattern
* Must be able to work an average of 37.5 hrs per week, including evening and weekend working (1 in 3 weekends off)

Responsibilities:

* To keep the friendly culture and environment of the school
* To act as a caring and authoritative parental figure for the young people
* To be able to deal with challenging behaviours when needed
* Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare
* Provide support for the children and young people in the home and to promote their independence
* Develop and maintain good working relationships with the staff, parents, Social Workers and other professionals that may be involved in the young people's lives
* To encourage the young people to do activities and take responsibility for their own lives depending on their age
* Maintain a safe environment for the young people
