Job Title:                           Credit Risk Manager – Portfolio Analytics
Location:                           Leeds
Salary:                               to £50,000 + bonus & benefits

In this role the Credit Risk Manager will further enhance their leadership and technical skills in a growing & dynamic part of risk management and develop and work closely with an extensive network of contacts from around the business.

The Manager will be responsible for ensuring the asset quality of the consumer portfolios remain robust and aligned to business strategy and the risk appetite statement. This involves managing and maintaining credit decision strategies, monitoring of key metrics and pro-active communication across the business.

The Credit Risk Manager will:

- Be responsible for projects to ensure credit strategies remain robust.
- Produce recommendations for changes to credit strategies and discuss with stakeholders to obtain support and approval for implementation.
- Provide insightful MI and commentary on portfolio performance against business plans and forecasts.
- Provide MI for ongoing requests from regulators or rating agencies as well as providing continued support to key stakeholders across the business
- Promote and represent the team in cross-business projects and meetings.
- Develop improvements in processes used across the team to generate further efficiencies in team delivery.
- Manage and prioritise own workload and those of Credit Risk Analysts in the team
- Ensure full compliance with all internal and external legal and regulatory obligations

Candidate Profile 

- Highly numerate with a proven, logical approach to problem solving in relation to both business and technical issues.
- Evidence of strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders to foster continuous improvement and innovative solutions as part of an effective team.
- A good working knowledge of SAS and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- 3 years + experience in retail credit risk management
