Assembly Project Engineer required

Are you able to provide engineering level support to technicians and workers? Do you have a strong technical knowledge of the automotive sector? Can you ensure that assembly and manufacturing areas are achieving their optimal performance?

Due to expansion, a leading automotive component company are looking to hire an Assembly Project Engineer to oversee their assembly and manufacturing area.

Daily tasks will be to:

* Introduce new projects into assembly
* Keep track of Customer and Supplier schedules
* Have experience working towards and keeping within tight budgets
* Produce documentation such as FMEA, work instruction, job element and parameter sheets
* Commission new tooling and optimise settings
* Understand and define optimal performance levels of each department and provide support to help achieve targets
* Provide trouble shooting and technical support for the workers on shift
* Train operators on new machinery and with new products
* Understand health and safety legislation

Please not this is NOT an exhaustive list.

The Successful candidate will:

* Have experience using assembly equipment designed for high volume output
* Have experience in project management or manufacturing engineering (Please note this is NOT essential but is desirable)
* Be educated to ONC/HNC level in electrical or mechanical bias (Please note this is NOT essential but is desirable)

In return for your knowledge and expertise the company are offering a salary of up to £35,000, 2 salary reviews after 6 and 9 months respectively and working hours of Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 5pm and Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm.
