A family owned mineral extraction company is looking for a motivated plant driving apprentice to join their company. Firstly, you would complete a 5-day dumper truck course before joining the team. As your skills develop, you will attend training courses to obtain your licenses to drive mobile plant vehicles such as loaders, bulldozers and 360 excavators.

A company van is provided which you take home each night and use to drive to the site you are working on, for this you will need a valid driving licence. You would be working across East Anglia, on a number of sites that are spread from Fakenham through Downham Market to the Cambridge area.

As an Apprentice Plant Driver, your duties would include:

* Driving heavy plant machinery to dig and move minerals such as sand and gravel.

* Attending training courses obtain dumper, bulldozer and excavator licences.

* Using the company van to travel to sites across East Anglia for a 6:30 starts.

The ideal Apprentice Plant Driver would have:

* A desire to be professional Heavy Plant Driver.

* The motivation to start the day early in order to travel to sites ready for 6.30am starts.

* A mature attitude towards health and safety procedures.

* The full UK driving licence to use the company van.

Apprentice Plant driver

In return, you will receive an apprentice starting salary of £9,945 (£190 per week) plus overtime, this will rise as your skills develop. Your working day will be 6:30 am until 4:30 pm with 2 half hour breaks through the day, a regular week of 45 hours with additional hours and Saturdays as and when needed. You will be given a budget to buy your own PPE such as safety boots etc.
