Bromak Recruitment are looking to recruit a permanent Project Manager / Contract Manager for a Construction Contract based in Salisbury. Our Client is a National Construction Contractor looking for an experienced and reliable Project Manager / Contract Manager for their project in Salisbury.

The initial project you will be working on is a 225 house build for a MOD contract in Salisbury, this project is due to run for 3 years and the successful candidate would move with them on to their next project in and around the Salisbury area.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, your role will be to coordinate the works and the team on site to ensure a smooth process on site to the completion of the Project. Assisting the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating meetings and developing strategies to see the project through to the end. This may include anything from attending meetings, to receiving project documents, collating and compiling a summary that includes a project plan, target date and list of responsibilities and responsible persons.
A brief list of duties includes but is not limited to;
" Contributing to the achievement of the Health & Safety objectives
" Delivering appointed packages to the client within budget
" Working with the Project Manager to develop detailed and accurate short term programmes of work
" Managing the budget and delivery of the section/package
" Providing accurate and timely reporting of progress
" Planning the programming of day to day resource requirement
" Leading section meetings and reviewing progress in productivity and design
" Preparing method statements and risk assessments
" Implementing design team and subcontractor drawings and details
" Interpreting drawings and specifications

Requirements:

" A minimum of 2 years in Contract Management, preferably of multiple sites/schemes.
" Detailed knowledge of H&S legislation
" Excellent leadership, management and communication skills
" The ability to work under pressure
" Be able to demonstrate a proven track record in completing project to tight timescales and deadlines
" Capable of programming projects
" Review progress and programme across the project
" Review quality, procedures and deadlines across the project and report back to the Construction Manager
" Review sub-contractors including temporary staff performance
" Liaise with Site Managers and Senior team and feed back to the Construction Manager

You must have a proven track record in site volume house building. The role requires a focused Project Manager / Contract Manager who is organised, methodical, and a good communicator. The ability to make decisions quickly and 'think on your feet' are essential along with the ability to work under pressure.

In return, the Client is offering a salary in the region of £80k, plus package and a permanent position within the company.
