Permanent - £25,000 - £27,000
Full time Monday to Friday 9.00- 5.00pm (some hours Saturday if event booked)
(consideration to part time 20 hours only if event planning experience)

An established, niche organisation based in the heart of Birmingham are seeking an Events Assistant/ Coordinator to work as part of a busy, vibrant team. The Events Assistant/ Co-ordinator is a new role within this company and is a fabulous opportunity to join and make the role your own. This is a new venture so experience of events planning and coordination is preferred.
The key duties will involve:-
*Venue Set up
*Venue Show-arounds
*Building up a pipeline of clients
*Lead generation through outbound calling from an existing database
*Selling of Weddings, Christmas parties and Conferences
*Being point of contact for all clients from booking to event delivery
*Assistance with Social media marketing
*Marketing assistance
*Liaising with catering suppliers
*Liaising with event booking agents
*Admin support to the management team

As the events assistant/ coordinator you will be expected to be able to use a variety of office packages, have great communication skills, confident in meeting and interacting with clients on a daily basis, be extremely organised and experienced in running and setting up events. Knowledge of Hootsuite would be a distinct advantage.
They are seeking a full time events assistant/ coordinator but consideration will be given to part time hours (20hrs/ week min) if you have extensive events experience. Flexibility on hours as the role progresses, which may include Saturdays if there is a wedding taking place.
